It's his day

Happy Birthday to my wonderful Dad! I could go on and on bragging on all the amazing things about my dad, but I would be typing and you would be reading eternally. I will say that he is always there for me no matter what and has always been. I know that I can count on him without fail, no questions asked. He's not a man of many words and doesn't show a lot of emotion, but I have always known and felt his unconditional love.
I am so thankful and blessed to have the dad I have.

 Strong. Kind.Caring.Loving.

The picture shown is dad and Natalie last weekend. He took her fishing for her first time. She called him on a Friday and then again on a Saturday morning to ask him to take her. He dropped everything, bought her a Barbie fishing pole and took her fishing. She had a blast! We made a photo book of pictures and comments from the outing. Natalie's quote attatched to this picture "I love Poppy- he's so smart" She's picked up on that already at 4 years old. I can't wait to see her grow closer with him!
I love you Dad

What she leaves behind

This, my friends is what I found after the hustle and bustle of the day, cooking and cleaning up dinner, bathtime and bedtime. I sat down to catch up on some of my recorded t.v. and thought what in the world is laying in front of the t.v.? Yes, you guessed it-
shrimp tails!
And they were left by my little shrimp. This child loves to eat shrimp cocktail and that was part of our dinner that evening. There are 9 tails here, and I found another 3 outside of this picture! That is on top of what she ate before and during dinner! I just smiled and chuckled.

OverLoad

I am officially overloaded with technology. Just typing that sentence probably aged me several years. When I decided to get back to blogging, I went through the pages of my blog updating things and making some changes. Well it cancelled my entire blog. So I asked for help from someone oh, so savvy! Thanks ASHLEY
Over the next few days and before my help arrived, I became the proud owner of an IPhone. It is indeed a smartphone, and I do indeed have quite a bit to learn about it.
Ashley came over this evening for my "lessons" and set me on the right path. However, I think I may have her stumped. If she figures somethings out, you will find a few additions to my blog. Thanks again my dear sweet cousin! I enjoyed a lovely evening with you!

Back to Blogging

I just had a moment to look at some blogs when I noticed that I have not posted anything since September...WHAAA? I knew it had been a long time, but wow! Time has flown by. My life has changed dramatically since I last blogged. The change had already been in progress, but I wasn't ready to write about it or anything else for that matter. Maybe that is why I have not made time to blog!
Well, I have so many things to blog about. Good and bad things, but as I tell Natalie when we watch any movie these days, GOOD ALWAYS WINS! Now I am not saying I am totally through the storm, but I have come a long way and have learned to smile and dance through the rain.  I am excited to share things I have overcome with whomever reads my blog. Of course I will blog about the joys of parenting and being a business owner too. I think this could be some therapy for me too!

I am excited to get back on board. I want to jazz up my page...oh ASHLEY...that's my cry for help????
